Behaviour therapy in Bahria Town, Lahore

PetalsTalk offers behaviour therapy in Bahria Town, Lahore. Our qualified therapists work to understand individual needs and build skills that support everyday participation, communication and routines.

What is behaviour therapy?

Behaviour therapy looks at behaviour in context: what happens before it, what the person may be communicating and what support could help. The focus is on understanding needs and developing useful skills, rather than expecting the same approach to work for everyone.

Support shaped around everyday life

Concerns may involve difficulty with transitions, participating in activities or communicating needs during challenging moments. These are starting points for a discussion, not a diagnosis. An assessment helps determine which goals and strategies may be appropriate.

What happens before therapy begins?

Share the situations you find difficult and what you hope to work towards. We offer informal and comprehensive formal assessments to clarify needs. Any therapy plan should be based on individual findings, age and priorities. Progress varies, so we do not promise a set result or timeline.

Your questions, answered

Can behaviour therapy support an autistic child?

Behaviour support can help identify needs behind distress and build communication, coping and daily-routine skills. Autism is not something therapy cures. Goals should support your child’s wellbeing and participation, rather than simply making them appear less autistic.

Who delivers the sessions?

All therapy sessions are delivered by qualified staff, not interns. Parents can watch their child’s sessions live from our waiting area.

Is an assessment available?

Yes. PetalsTalk provides informal assessments and comprehensive formal assessments using industry-standard tests. Ask our team which approach may suit your needs.

Is a meltdown the same as a tantrum?

Not necessarily. A meltdown can be a response to overwhelming sensory input, change or distress. It should not automatically be treated as deliberate misbehaviour. Understanding triggers, communication needs and the environment helps guide support. Sudden changes in behaviour may also warrant medical advice.

Can behaviour support help with transitions and daily routines?

Support may include identifying what makes change difficult, using predictable routines and introducing changes gradually. Goals should be based on your child’s communication and sensory needs. Ask the therapist how strategies can fit daily life at home without overwhelming your child.

Will therapy stop harmless stimming or force eye contact?

Harmless repetitive movements can help an autistic person regulate or feel comfortable. Support should prioritise safety, communication and wellbeing, not suppress harmless differences. Ask any provider to explain proposed goals and how the child’s comfort and preferences will be respected.

Can parents watch sessions and understand the goals?

At PetalsTalk, parents can watch their child’s session live from the waiting area. Qualified staff deliver therapy, not interns. Therapists use PetalsTrack to record children’s goals and activities; parent access is coming soon and is not yet available.

What should I look for in the best autism centre in Lahore?

There is no single centre that is best for every child. Compare staff qualifications, assessment quality, respect for your child, individual goals and how progress is explained. Be cautious of guaranteed cures. PetalsTalk offers speech, behaviour and occupational therapy in Bahria Town, Lahore; contact us to discuss whether the service fits your child’s needs.
